Entertainment One, Wild Bunch Pact for Distribution Deal in France

"Call me Fitz" and "The Walking Dead" are the first titles to be released under the new agreement

PARIS - Entertainment One and Wild Bunch have joined forces in France for a multi-year film distribution partnership, both companies confirmed on Thursday. Wild Bunch will handle all of eOne’s home video and digital rights in the territory through the company’s direct distribution arm Wild Side. eOne Television International will continue to handle its TV content in France, but Wild Side will take on TV sales for eOne’s feature titles.
The first season of Call Me Fitz starring Jason Priestley and the second season of The Walking Dead will be the first home video titles released under the new agreement that will take effect on June1st.
“Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Wild Bunch across our territories worldwide and we couldn’t ask for a more trusted partner, eOne’s president of Filmed Entertainment Patrice Theroux said.
eOne currently operates in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Scandinavia, and South Africa.
Theroux added: “As eOne continues to grow in Europe and across the globe, we remain committed to maximizing rights ownership and looking for new opportunities to exploit our content on a multi-territory and multi-platform basis. We’re confident that Wild Bunch can also offer eOne the resources for theatrical distribution and other exciting opportunities in France through the coming years.”
“Patrice and his team have been friends and partners for years. This agreement is a natural outcome of both a close relationship and a shared vision of the evolution of distribution activities in this digital age,” Wild Bunch’s Chairman and CEO Vincent Grimond said.
